ALEAF The Arizona Law Enforcement Assistance Foundation (ALEAF) was incorporated in 2010 and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity. ALEAF was the vision of several retired police officers who wanted to find a way to stay active with law enforcement, and help not only the departments, but all the people that they serve. ALEAF is a non-profit charity that will be available to all Arizona police agencies for items that they have been unable to obtain because of the incredible budget problems most departments face. A similar charity surfaced many years ago (although now out of operation), and they received requests for: canines (both patrol and/or drug/bomb detecting) food, supplies and veterinary care for the canine officers TASERs tactical supplies auto repairs and a variety of other items/services (some too sensitive to publish) ALEAF will operate with an all volunteer Board of Directors and staff; most with either law enforcement backgrounds, or an appreciation of the law enforcement community. Our goal will be to keep administrative and fundraising costs to less than 10 percent of the total revenue. We want as much money as possible to go to fulfilling as many requests as we can.
